Papers, 1934-1984.

Fragmentary papers, mainly 1937-1941, of a former Progressive assemblyman from Bayfield, Wisconsin, and clerk of court for Dane County, Wisconsin, consisting of speeches and radio addresses, a microfilmed clipping scrapbook, papers written about Carlson by a 1939 political science class which he addressed at Lawrence University, and miscellany. Photographs show the activities during an annual field day at the experimental farm in Ashland Junction, Wisconsin, July 30, 1937, and include images of Carlson, agricultural demonstrations, and a group portrait. The processed portion of this collection is summarized above and dates 1934-1974. Additional accessions are described below, 1954-1984.
